We invite freelance writers to create role-playing supplements for our hard science fiction role-playing game.
Writers are sought to author sourcebooks, adventure books, and short adventure outlines for hard SF roleplaying. Sourcebooks are about 60,000 words and provide in-depth information about an aspect of the background; adventure books are about 40,000 words and provide resources for GMs to launch a campaign; adventure outlines are a few thousand words. The materials must fit into the Vanguard universe.
Payments are small. Each payment is individually negotiated but typically will not leave much left over after a good celebratory dinner. Royalties may follow, depending on sales. We regret that we can't offer more substantial compensation, but we hope that writers getting started in the business will value the opportunity for publication.
Writers are invited to submit a proposal letter, which should indicate the following:
Your name and contact information.
Previous professional writing experience, if any.
An outline and summary of the piece you would like to write.
